Yes. UHMWPE can be used as a backing material in ceramic composite armor systems designed for NIJ Level IV applications. However, the NIJ performance applies to the complete finished armor system rather than the UHMWPE material alone.
Is the UHMWPE plate a finished NIJ Level IV armor plate?
Not necessarily. This product is supplied as UHMWPE armor material/backing material for integration into a complete hard armor system. Finished armor performance depends on the complete construction and applicable testing.
Can you customize the UHMWPE plate size?
Yes. Dimensions, thickness, shape and other specifications can be customized according to customer requirements.
Can UHMWPE be combined with alumina ceramic?
